Love my Bosch 800 so far. It's quiet, it's efficient, and it dries plastic like a champ. Kind of hard to figure out how the buttons work, but I'm sure I could figure it out. Only a month old at this point, so will have to wait and see if it's reliable.

I'm a big fan of Bosch dishwashers. This is my third. I wouldn't doubt it if my first one is still working perfectly. I've only had three due to moves. They are workhorses and if taken care of will keep your dishes clean for years. Also an attractive kitchen appliance.

This dishwasher is magnificient! It is beautiful to look at, stainless steel inside and out. It is unbelieveably quiet. And our dishes have never looked better. This is a fantastic diswasher. We love the little red light on the bottom telling us if it is running (it is so quiet one cannot tell if it is running.)

Challenging

Hard to figure out 5/10/2022

I love the quiet and cleaning ability. I don't like trying to turn it on. Seems like we have to push the buttons three times each try before we get it started. I also cant seem to figure which method to use for best dry without spots. Also when I lean against the unit it pushes in and beeps.

I did not realize how loud a dishwasher can be until I experienced the silence of the Bosch. I have to constantly resist the urge to check if it's running because it is so quiet. The best thing is now I can watch tv uninterrupted and run the washer at the same time.

Great washer but poor reliability at the 2.5 year point it doesn't power on and I verified power to the dishwasher. Basic troubleshooting didn't reveal the issue and when you check the web page it doesn't provide the power or control schematics to assist in troubleshooting.

Overall very good cleaning...glasses and dishes come out spot free. The "Crystal Dry" only works on longer cycles. It does not work on the 60 minute speed cycle which I like to use when there are only a few dishes or the dishes have been pre-rinsed and then some of the dishes don't dry completely.

I am not pleased. Perhaps I am not doing it properly. But, how am I to know? I had to watch amateur videos on YouTube to get a clue. It is very difficult to believe that Bosch left their customers to fend for themselves. BestBuy did just that. I recommend a thorough Bosch training video (not just a promotional one). Or, is there one hidden somewhere secret?

Unfortunately, mine stopped working several times in the last 2 years. The 1 year warranty was great and they were able to repair it, but soon after the warranty ended, it stopped working again and will cost hundreds to repair. I wish I didn't have to replace it because it cleans amazingly well! But not reliable enough for the money so time to switch brands.

Needed service at two year mark

While a good dishwasher, it stopped working at the two year mark. Bosch service had a two month wait for a service call, so we diagnosed the problem ourselves and ordered a new "operating module." Luckily, that was the problem but one should expect a $1,000 appliance to work for more than two years before needing to replace parts.

New VS Old

Our old Bosch broke down after 15 years. Repair folks could not guarantee part avalibility due to age. New racks are harder to load efficiently. Third rack is great but second rack suffers. Silverware basket was moved to the right side making you to pull out the lower rack just to put in one fork. Cycles run a lot longer then old ones and they cleaned the same. No matter what the dish washer is great. Don't have to rinse off items before loading like every other dishwasher here in the states. Crystal dry does a better job drying. Our next dishwasher will be a Bosch.

Excellent upgrade from our old dishwasher

We where a little aprehencive to pay so much for a dishwasher, but friends that have bought them where very happy. We installed ours and have been very pleased with the sound level and how well it cleans. We where used to our old dishwasher not fully drying our dishes so we always opened ours at the end of the wash. This has worked well for our Bosch also as it's saving energy. I would recommend a bosch dishwasher. On a side note, we now have to run our dishwasher before it's full due to running out of dishes and silverware. Hard to believe the efficience of loading made that much diffenence.

Electronic controls

The dishwasher washes well, but the electronic controls are flaky. The On/Off must be pressed several times before it goes on. And I always use the Speed 60 cycle, but have to press it each time, as the On brings up Auto. The cycle previously used should come up when the On is pressed. Also, we don't need a Heated Dry, but are not able to cancel it.
