The dryer functions and features work flawlessly each setting performs as expected and there is no disappointment. It takes time to learn which settings are best for your items the recommended settings are a good starting point but fine tuning is needed for your things in order to get the best drying without damage. The wifi download of settings is useful but not critical because after you become familiar with the settings for your stuff its easier to just punch in the parameters based on whats in the load coming out of the washer. It is nice to be notified on your phone when the dryer is done. The most surprisingly useful setting is the steam fresh which we use to avoid ironing and to remove fold lines it works very well.

Great until it broke weeks out of warranty

I bought this a year ago. A few weeks out of warranty and the control panel shorted out the solenoid coil and the machine would not get hot. I called LG and for $350 an LG tech would come out and diagnose the problem not fix but diagnose. Mind you that is 1/3 the cost of the machine. The person overseas that I spoke with was irritating and unhelpful as I was slightly out of warranty. I called a local company and they came out for $100 to diagnose and told me what the problem was. The replacement parts were going to be $649 for the panel and more for the shorted out coil. I had my previous machine for over 20 years and this was my first brand new machine I have ever bought. I like the job it does until this happened. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I was mostly disappointed in the terrible customer service I received the first time and disappointed in the quality of the product. The cost to repair the machine was almost as expensive as buying a new one. I ended up calling back and was able to speak to a wonderful gentlemen in the States explained the situation and they ended up fixing it for free. After this experience I am not sure if I would buy an LG product again. They did end up making it right in the end but it shouldnt be that hard if you stand by your products.

Still a little early to leave a review. But here it goes. The washer and dryer work well so far. Only had the. For a short time and have done minimal laundry. But the cycles I have tried work well and the systems are easy to figure out. I do wish the dryer light turned on when you opened the door. The unit has to be powered on in order for the light to go on.

The washer and dryer arrived and were later professionally installed. Our review is largely negative not because of the product themselves which weve found to be top of the line. But the process of buying direct from LG has been filled with issues. First we ordered the washer and dryer and had a 3.5 week delay for delivery. The day before delivery we were informed any touching of the gas would be impossible from the LG RXO delivery team in our state. We were instructed to call and hire a locally licensed contractor to install our dryer which took another week. We were told we would be reimbursed by Last Mile for the cost of installation and they would honor the haul away commitment of our old dryer. Its been a week since install. No reimbursement. No one has responded to our emails. I have two washers and two dryers in my home. No one has answered the phone calls. They legit owe us a hauled away dryer and over $600 from the invoice of hiring a second company to install their product. Not happy to say the least. Avoid the gimmicks- if its free install and haul away make sure to get actual information for the state in which you live. Probably too good to be true and who knows how long we will have to wait for this to be resolved.

Unexpected installation issues

This dryer is full of features but without a manual on how to use them The machine does its job and drys the clothes. Another problem is that it needs a water hook up for the steam feature which requires a small hose and a y fitting to connect. The unit comes with the y fitting only So be prepared to running around looking for the hoses needed

Efficient dryer you have to be ok with linty-ness

Installation was easy enough and I like how the dryer works quickly and efficiently. The different heat settings are great and it dries even delicates well in a laundry bag. One thing is that lint often gets caught in the door gasket and its hard to clean behind it. Seeing all the fluff through the door annoys me especially when Im unable to get to it.

I used to have LG washer and dryer. My appliances lasted for 17 years. Therefore I decided to purchase new LG washer and dryer when my old ones had broken. I ordered gas dryer model number DLGX4001B and front load washer model number WM4000HWA from the Home Depot over a month ago. So far these appliances from LG are running great. I am well pleased with LG products.

It was time to update my LG washer and dryer after over 15 years of faithful service. They both worked fine but I was anxious to replace them before I had a problem. With regard to the model DLGX4001B dryer its amazing what technology advances have taken place in 15 years The washer/dryer is WiFi enabled so that I can check the cycle progress on my phone and receive Alexa alerts once the cycle is finished. The dryer is paired to the washer so for example when the wash cycle for Towels is complete the dryer automatically pre-selects the dry cycle for Towels. There are more cycles and each is much more unique with this model compared to my 15 year old machine. This model also features steam functions. It runs whisper quiet smooth and is solid as a rock. The unit looks great in black steel but a minor complaint is that the LED panel is a bit hard to see so I need reading glasses and a flashlight if I want to choose any of the many available dry options.

LG Gas Dryer - Awesome

I bought this dryer in November and I am so happy that I did. I like the efficiency of it. It automatically selects the time to dry a big load. Although sometimes I select the timed dry to High/40 mins and when its done it is really dry NOT moist or damp. It is energy efficient. I dont have any big gas/electric bill even when I do my laundry 3 medium loads a week and few big loads on weekends. It also notifies me on my phone when its done.

Great product poor customer service.

Im happy with the washer and dryer itself but the delivery guys showed up without the stacking kit. I am 100 certain I had the stacking kit on my order when I checked out It was a free add-on promotion But it was not on my invoice . I called LG and after holding the lady was super rude and barely spoke English. She said its not on the order you didnt buy it. Yeah I know ... it was a free add-on. Delivery guys said this was a known problem that theyve seen a dozen times. I had a few issues with the checkout actually kind of buggy. I hate to leave a bad review because of this but the delivery guys couldnt install it without the stacking kit which was a really pain in the neck.

I bought this as a set. I love the color the function of steam fresh is wonderful. I cant always get to the clothes when there done and the steam function really cuts down on wrinkles. I would recommend this to anyone . Thanks for the rebate as well.

Almost perfect Dryer

Overall I have very high rating for the product. I have a stackable dryer. I purchased it during the presidents day sales. Therefore I got a break in the price and also free delivery and free pick up and free installation. And to kick this into higher gear I got the stack kit for free. The only thing I would complain was the delivery and installation. First the group delivered was not licensed to do the gas installation. So I had to make another appointment. Kind of disappointed because I was looking forward to using the dryer. Then the second group got it installed but twisted the water line so much that the water line made two circles instead of a straight line. Functionally speaking it should be fine but it just did not look good. It is kind of sloppy. Fortunately I have a shelf to cover that. Otherwise it would be perfect.

Dryer App is Frustrating to Install

I have been using this for about 3 weeks. It took a great deal of effort to get the dryer app installed. It was quite frustrating. There is a light in the dryer but it seems somewhat sporadic. It seems to dry pretty well but some of the heavier towels werent quite dry.

This was installed in our apartment a few months ago and it works well. My only note to improve the next version would be to make the light corresponding to the cycle a bit clearer as to which one it is pointing to. Perhaps the cycle name itself should light up to make it easier to figure out. I always have to start from the first cycle and work my way around to be sure its on the right one.

Serious heating defect and no customer support

Ive had this dryer for 5 months and its only heated for about 2 of those months. Im still waiting for a repair technician to be sent to my house. Im highly dissatisfied with customer service as well as the quality of this dryer. My next step is going to be to contact the BBB because I feel like I have a lemon and that LG is not honoring their warranty.

Weve had this dryer about 3 months. Its done a great job so far with no problems. Its very quiet and its nice to get notifications when its done so the clothes dont sit in the dryer for too long and get wrinkles. When this does happen its easy to refresh using the steam option. It has a large capacity. Weve been able to put several blankets and comforters inside w/o a problem.

Disappointed with LG Service

I requested service on my dryer and the service tech could not fix it. LG charged me $375 for the repair. They said that I would only be charged $125 for a diagnostic fee but was charged the full amount. I have requested a refund several times but they have not given one. Overall Im not happy with LG. I ended up fixing the machine myself with parts bought online. With the price of the parts I purchase online and service charge from LG I could have bought a new machine.

Defective dryer

This LG dryer takes forever to dry clothes taking 2.5 hours to dry a normal load. My attempts to address the issue through customer service have been fruitless and have resulted in my spending needless extra money in duct service work that was not needed. I purchased the dryer from Homedepot.com and relied on favorable customer reviews in deciding on this dryer. However as I found the large amount of time it takes to dry the clothes and I went back to the reviews to see if others have mentioned about the same problem. I then found that most of the favorable reviews were a part of promotion that LG had offered to the buyers. Stay away from this dryer and carefully read the return policy.
